Gongura Shrimp/Prawns Biryani

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Gongura Shrimp/Prawn Biryani". This is very very tasty biryani. Those who likes spicy and tangy will love this biryani. This has both combo of spicy and tangy taste. This we can prepare with chicken , veggies and even pickles too. I tried everything. I really enjoyed the gongura avakayi biryani. This recipe my sister did it. In this recipe I used  frozen gongura .We can use both fresh and frozen gongura. The gongura i preserved during fall. The froze gongura we can use for 6 months old too. Ok lets go the recipe





Ingredients:

Gongura paste-1 cup

Basmathi Rice-2 cups

Shrimp-2 cups

Onions-2

Green chillies-6 to 7

Tomatoes-3

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp

Curry leaves few

Oil-2 tsp

Ghee-2 tsp

Mint- handsful

Coriander-handsful

Cashew-1/2 cup

Whole spices -elachi,cloves,cinnamon,bay leaf,shah jeera,big elachi,ja patri,Marati mogga

Biryani masala-1 tsp

Water required

Sugar-1 tsp


Preparations:

Cut the onions into lenghtwise.

Method:

Place the deep bottomed pan and heat it . Add oil   and fry the onions

Mix it well

Add salt , Add masala powder Add turmeric too Mix it well

Cook the onions till it turns transparent

Now the onions cooked well .Take out from the pot and keep this aside

Now in the same pot add the oil and ghee  heat it. When it gets heat add the cashew and whole spices

Add the slit green chillies and fry it add curry leaves , turmeric ginger garlic paste too. Mix it well.

Add 3 big pieces of tomatoes mix it well and cook till it becomes soft

Now the tomatoes are soft

Here are the marinated shrimp to marinate add the salt, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste to the shrimp

 and keep aside for 30 minutes

Add to the pan and mix it well.

Cover it and cook for 2 to 3 minutes

Now add the gongura paste mix it well . Now cook it till the oil comes out.

Add required amount of water ,Add the chopped mint and coriander 

Add salt , chilli powder little sugar , biryani masala too

When the water starts to boil add the soaked rice add fried onions too and mix it well

Cover it and cook  till the rice is cooked well

Now the biryani is ready

Serve with onion raita and yummy yummy gulab jamun(optional)
