Sugar Coated Parched Rice(Krishna Astami Spl)Paakam Neyyalu

Hai friends today i am coming with yummy recipe called " Paakam Neyyalu".In some place they call it pelalu.In english we call it Parched rice.This is Krishna Astami spl.Yesterday i did this for Krishna Asthami .Now a days we are getting this in Usa.But  i didn't buy here.My parents sent the Neyyalu.
Ok lets go the recipe


Neyyalu/Parched Rice-1 cup
Ghee-2 tsp
Sugar-3 tsp
Water very little


Take the pan and heat it.Add 2 tsp of ghee and add the parched rice .
Roast it in low medium till they are crisp.

 Now keep this Parched Rice aside.


Take the pan and heat it.To this add the sugar and required amount of water.

 Make it boil as shown in the pic.Boil it all the sugar melts.Dont make it burn.Now add the roasted parched rice.

Mix it well .The syrup should coated well to all the parched rice.

Make it cool and offer to God.Later we can have it Prasadam.

Ponnaganti Aaku Podi Pappu Curry

Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called Ponnaganti Aaku Podi Pappu Curry.This is simple and tasty curry.This is very good for eyes.This leaves contain good source of Iron,fibre and calcium.This can cooked dal and fry too.I liked the curry very much.This leaves grown in my backyard.Ok lets go the recipe.


Ponnaganti Leaves -3 cups
Moong dal-1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil-1 tsp
Turmeric little pinch
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies to taste
Curry leaves few


Clean the Leaves:Discard Leaves from the stem and chopped finelly the leaves.Clean it well with water and drain the water .keep it aside.

How to cook dal:Place 2 cups of water in the pan and boil it.In the mean time clean the moong dal well with water and keep it aside.

When water starts to boil add the moong dal slowly and mix  it.Cook this in low flame for 5 minutes.After 5 minutes the moong dal is cooked and water evaporated.Keep this cooked dal aside.


Place the pan and heat it.When the pan gets heat add oil ,urad dal,jeera and mustard seeds.
When the urad dal is light brown and mustard seeds start to pop add the dry red chillies and curry leaves.

Now add the cleaned leaves .water
and salt cover it and  cook it in low flame.
In 2 to 3 minutes the leaves get cooked.

At this time add the cooked dal and mix it gently as shown in the pic.

Fry this for 2 minutes and off the flame.

Serve the curry with steamed hot rice.


Garlic:To this curry we can use garlic.

Mango Mousse Cake

Hi friends today i am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Mango Mousse Cake".This is very easy and best dessert.My family and friends love this recipe.I got this recipe from internet and i made few changes in the recipes .It tastes really yummy.In the  original recipe they used Ladyfingers biscuits.I tried in many stores but didn't find.Instead of that biscuits i used Nilla biscuits.During thanks giving i didn't find the cookies.Tried like anything but finally used Nilla Biscuits.All my family and friends love the dish.This recipe pics i took for my daughter birthday.She asked this dish for her birthday.Ok lets go to the recipe

Mango puree -1/2 tin+1 cup
Heavy whipping cream-1 bottle
Cream Cheese-2 tsp
Sugar-3 tsp
Jello Packet-1(i used Ahmed Crystal)
Nilla Biscuits-1 packet
Serving cups any variety(I used Dollar tree Cups)


Mango puree Mix:

Take a wide and deep bowl add the cream cheese and mix it well.
Now add the mango puree and mix both mango puree and cream cheese well with hand mixer.(I missed 2 pics)

 Keep this mixture Aside.

How to prepare Whipping Cream:

Take a deep and wide bottomed bowl and add the heavy cream and 2 tsp sugar and mix it well with hand mixer till it forms peaks as shown in the pic.

 Now the whipping cream is ready.


Now mix both mango cream cheese mixture to the whipping cream gently as shown in the pic.

Now the mango mixture is ready.

Clean well the cups and keep it ready.Take the cookies in a plate.
Mix the mango puree and little water   and make a juice. keep it aside.

 How to arrange:

Take the nilla biscuit and dip in the mango juice
Now place in the cup as shown in the pic.

Fill the mango puree and cream cheese mix and whipping cream mixture in the ziploc bag.
Cut the end as shown in the pic.

Now squeeze it slowly in the cup.Fill until 3/4th of the cup and tap it to make it even and no bubbles.
Fill all the cups and cover it with the cap and keep all the cups in the fridge.

In the mean time we have to prepare jello.I prepared the jello as per instructions on the pack.
We can use any flavour.But i used cherry on that day.Before i used mango both tastes good.

Take medium sauce pan  add the water and make it boil.Off the heat and add the mixture.Mix it well with no lumps.

We have to wait until it gets luke warm.We have to use immediately otherwise it turns hard.
Now take a spoon of jello mixture and pour on top of the mango cheese mixture as shown in the pic.

Now place all the cups in the fridge for 1 hour.

After 1 hour take out from fridge and Enjoy the cold cold Mango mousse cake.



We can use nilla biscuits or Ladyfingers or cake as the base.

We can use any flavour Jello.Use as per your taste.I tasted both mango and cherry both are good.

You can use pyrex bowl for big batches.We can use glass bowls too for serving.
