Chegodalu(Chitti Chegodalu)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty snack called "Chegodalu". This is one of best and tasty snack in India. This we can have at evening tea time snack. This is my all time favourite snack. Most of the indian families love this snack. This we can prepare in various types. Today i am coming with one among them, This can be stored and fresh for 1month. The self life is more than 1 month. Ok lets go the recipe



Ingredients:

Rice flour-2 cups

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Oil 3 cups

Sesame Seeds-2 tsp

Ajwain-1/2 tsp

Butter-2 tsp

Jeera-1 tsp

Water  for 2 cups rice flour we use 1 and 1/2 cup water


Preparation:

Take rice flour in the bowl.

Add the ajwain, salt, chilli powder, sesame seeds one by one in the rice flour.

Whisk it well Keep it aside

In another wide deep bottomed pan add the butter and heat it.

When it gets heat add the jeera and fry it.

Now add the water and make it boil

When water starts to boil add the flour and mix it well

Fry for 2 minutes and later off the heat.

Now cover with lid and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

after 20 minutes now take the mixture on the kitchen island or big wide bowl.

Mix the dough by adding little little water to make smooth dough.

This is the time we can check the salt nd spicy for the dough.

Now make small potions of dough.

Now take the murukku press and select the chegodalu mould.

Now apply oil to the murukku press and take some dough in the murukku press. Now press like a string .

Now cut equally as shown here. Now make small rings and keep this aside.

Do all the dough small chegodalu.

Now take pan and add oil and heat it.

When the oil gets heat add small pieces and check whether the oil gets hat or not. Now oil is ready to fry.

Now slowly and carefully add the chegodalu and fry in medium heat until light brown.

Now take out from oil and keep it aside on the paper  to absorb extra oil.

Now enjoy hot hot chegodalu.

After cool down store the chegodalu in airtight box.

This can be fresh for more than 1 month.

We can make murukku with this dough too.

Instant Chutney Mix(Best for Working Moms)

 Hai friends today I am coming with best recipe called "Instant Chutney Mix". This is best for the working moms. Anyone can prepare this and store in the fridge. This i prepared and store in the fridge. When ever we want we can just mix with water and add the seasoning and enjoy with idly or dosa. This we have to make completely powder then we get good texture chutney. Ok lets go the recipe




Ingredients:

Peanuts: 1/2 cup

Urad dal- 4 tsp

Roasted chana dal-1 cup

Dry red chillies to taste

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Dry coconut-1/4th cup

Garlic-4 cloves

Tamarind to taste

Salt to taste

Oil - 2 tsps

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Dry red chillies pieces few

Curry Leaves few

Hing little

Method:

Place the pan and heat it. To this add the peanuts and dry roast in low flame until it roast well.

Tip  When the peanuts skin comes out easily then we can tell the peanuts are roasted well.

 Take out from pan and make it cool

Now in same pan add 4 tsp of urad dal and dry roast in low flame until light brown.

Add 1/4 th cup dry coconut and fry it well

Add the dry red chillies and fry until roast well.

Add jeera and curry leaves. Fry until the curry leaves fried well.

Tip: When the leaves crushed then the curry leaves fried well.

Add the tamarind and mix well. Now off the heat and make it cool

Now all the fried stuff cooled well. To this add the dry roasted chana dal..

Take the roasted chana dal fried stuff, garlic and salt. Blend to smooth powder

Take the powder and save the powder in the clean jar.

This can be stored in the fridge for 2 months and more.

How to use:

Take the required amount of mix in the bowl and mix with water.

We can add the more or less water depends on our chutney consistency.

Now add seasoning.

Place the pan and add the oil and when oil gets heat add the mustard seeds,jeera,dry red chilli pieces,curry leaves and hing. Add the seasong to the chutney. Mix it well

Serve it with Idly or Dosa

Bottle Art with Air Dry Clay

 Hai friends today I am coming with one art "Bottle Art:. This i made on the glass bottle. I upcycle the bottle. We can directly paint on the bottle or we can use the air dry clay. I used both paint and the air dry clay. I did this with in 24 hours. We can decoupage too which is very easy too. Ok lets see how painted it.

Mexican Street Corn

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy tasty recipe called "Mexican Street Corn". This is very 

tasty and easy to prepare. This  we can grill the corn and use it for this recipe. That tastes more yummy.

This we can eat as snack or we can use for sandwich or we can use for quesadilla. Ok lets go the recipe.



Ingredients:

Corn-2 cups

Onion-1

Sweet peppers chopped-1/2 cup

Cucumber-1

Salt to taste

Pepper powder to taste

Sour cream

Mayonnaise

Butter-2 tsp

Cayenne pepper

Garlic powder

Chipotle spice powder

Coriander chopped handsful

Cheese handsful

Parmesan Cheese 2 tsp


Preparations:

 Chop the onions, cucumber and sweet peppers. Keep this aside

Method:

Place the pan and add 2 tsps of butter nd heat it.

When it gets heat add 2 cups of corm. Mix it well.  Fry for 1 minute and off the heat.

Now take a big bowl and add the chopped onions, cucumber, sweet peppers mix it well. Add the cooked corn too  and mix it well,

Add spices cayenne pepper, garlic powder ,chipotle spice powder.

Add the sour cream and Mayonnaise  Mix it well

Cook this for 3 minutes. If we use fresh corn we have to cook for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper powder. Mix it well.

Add chopped coriander mix it well

Add mozzarella and parmesan cheese mix it well

Add lemon juice too Mix it well

Now Mexican Street corn is ready to serve with Chips.


Note:

We can use any corn fresh or frozen

We can use chilli powder too.

We can use mozzarella or parmesan cheese.

Natu Kodi Kura(Country Chicken Curry)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Natu Kodi Kura". This is very easy and tasty recipe. We get Natu Kodi in villages But now we are getting here too.. We get burnt country chicken too.  This is best combo for wada, biryani, Ragi  Sankati. This is good combo for puri  and idly too. The curry should be little spicy only. Then only it tastes awesome. Ok lets go the recipe



Ingredients:

Chicken-2 lbs

Onion-2(big)

Turmeric -Little

Green chillies-3 to 4

Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsps

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Tomatoes-2

Coriander leaves handsfull

Curry leaves few


Masala Ingredients:

Dry coconut/Fresh-1/4th cup

Dry red chillies- 3 or 4(use acc to ur taste)

Cloves-5

Elachi-3

Cinnamon-1 piece

Poppy seeds - 1 tsp

Peppercorns-1 tsp

Shahjeera-1 tsp

Bay leaf - 1

Coriander seeds-2 tsp

Jeera-1 tsp

Preparations:

Masala Powder: First dry roast the masala in low heat. Roast the spices till nice aroma comes. Off the heat and make it cool. Now grind the roasted masala to powder. Keep this aside.

Method:

This curry has to be done in the pressure cooker.

Place the pressure cooker and heat it. Add the oil .(I added 2 tsps because later cooking we get more fat from the curry)

Now add the chopped onions and fry it till the onions are transparent.

Add the turmeric and ginger garlic paste fry it till raw smell goes.

Now add the cleaned country chicken pieces mix it well and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add salt and mix it well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now add the grinded masala mix it well and fry for 4 to 5 minutes

Add chilli powder and mix it well.Cook for 4 to 5 minutes

Now add the chopped tomatoes mix it and cook for 3 minutes.

Add 2 cups of water if needed add more too.

Finally add the curry leaves .Cover it and cook for 9 whistles.

After that when pressure goes down open the lid .Now curry cooked well.Finally sprinkle coriander leaves.

Serve it hot with biryani  or puri or idly or raagi sankati

Strawberry Cream Shots(Valentines Day Spl Dish) and Valentines day Decor

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Strawberry Cream Shots". This is very simple and easy dessert. This can be served on special occasions.  I made this dessert for Valentines Party. The dessert was super hit. Everyone enjoyed it. I want to share with you all. Ok lets go the recipe




Ingredients:

Whipping cream-2 cups
Strawberries-4 cups
Sugar 1 and half cup
Cream cheese-2 tsp
Biscuits-Marie , Gooday and Digestive Biscuit


Strawberry Sauce: Chop the strawberries and keep it aside. Take the sauce pan and heat it. Add the chopped strawberries and fry it for 1 minute. Later add the sugar and cook in low heat for 10 minutes. Mix in the middle to not to burnt. This should be cook in low heat. No need to add water it oozes water from the mixing of sugar and berries. Now syrup is ready keep it aside and make it cool completely.

Whipping Cream:
Take deep bottomed and add the whipping cream ,cream cheese and sugar. Mix it with the hand mixer till it forms peaks. Now whipping cream is ready to fill in the piping bag. Keep this aside.

Cookie Powder:

Take the cookies in the ziplock and crush it with rolling pin to make powder. This can be done powder in the mixie also. I would prefer in mixie.  Now mix the cookie powder with the melted butter to make little coarse texture. Keep this aside.

Now all the stuff is ready to arrange.

Take the glass bowl . First layer with the cookie powder .Then with fruit sauce and then layer with whipping cream. Repeat this another time too. Finally add sauce to enhance the look of the dessert.

Keep this in the fridge for 4 hours and later serve it cold.
Yummy yummy dessert is ready to serve.

Note:While layering keep in mind the sauce should be completely cool.

Beerakaya Nora/Ridgegourd Peel Spicy Powder(Srikakulam Spl)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Beerakaya Nora". This we make with beerakaya peel. With the skin we can make chutney too. This goes nice with rice. We all love this curry powder. This is special dish we make in Srikakulam. Ok lets go the recipe




Ingredients:

Beerakaya Skin-2 cups

Garlic-1 full

Dry red chilli pieces- few

Salt to taste

Curry leaves few

Oil-2 tsp

Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Sesame seeds-2 tsp

Preparation:

Clean the beerakaya skin  well with water .Drain the water and grind it coarse and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the pan heat it and add the oil when it gets heat.

Add the chopped garlic and fry until light brown.

Now add the mustard seeds,jeera,dry red chilli pieces,curry leaves. Mix it well

Now add the grinded beerakaya peel powder and mix it well.

Add 1/4 th cup of water  mix it well .Cover it and cook in low heat for 3 minutes or until water evaporates.

Now mix it well and keep the curry  aside in the pan and add the sesame seeds and roast for 1 to 2 minutes or untill toast.

Now sesame seeds roasted well and mix it well.

Now dish out the cueey powder nad serve it hot with hot steamed rice.

Millets{Korrabiyyam} Bisibhelbhat(One Pot Meal)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy  tasty and healthy recipe called "Millets Bisibhelbhat".  i did this with Korrabiyyam. In English we call Foxtail Millets. With this millets we can prepare many variety tiffins.  We usually prepare kheer with millets which tastes  yummy. I did pongal,curd rice and pulihora with foxtail Millets. They really tastes awesome. Ok lets go the re


Ingredients:

Millets-1 cup

Masoor dal- 4 tsp

Toor dal-1/4th cup

Moong Dal-1/4th cup

Sambar powder-4 tsp

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Tamaraind big lemon size soaked in 2 cups of water

Veggies- Carrot,beans , drumstick , green peas 1 cup and more

Tomatoes-2

Turmeric little pinch 

Garam masasla-1 tsp

Oil/Ghee - 2 tsp

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Dry red chilli pieces few

Chopped Ginger-1 tsp

Curry leaves few

Hing little pinch

Water for 1 cup millets 3 cups of water , 1 cup daal i used 4 cups of water

Preparation:

Take millets and dal in a bowl. Mix well. Add water and clean well with water. Later drain the water and Add fresh water until it soak .Soak this for 5 hours.

Method:

This we can cook in Pressure cooker or Instant Pot

On the Ip  and select the Saute mode.

When it gets heat add 2 tsp ghee . When it gets heat add the mustard seeds,jeera,dry red chillies,curry leaves, chopped Ginger pieces and hing.

Mix it well.

Now add Chopped veggies carrot ,beans, drumstick and peas. Mix it well and fry for 1 to 2 minutes.

Now add soaked millets and daal mix it well and fry for 1 to 2 minutes.

Now add turmeric, Sambar powder or bisibhelbhat powder and little chilli powder to taste.

Mix it well.

Now add tamarind juice and chopped tomato .Mix it well.

Now add required amount of water ,salt ,little garam masala and jaggery. Mix it well.

Now close the lid and set cooking toime for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes when the pressure releases open the lid and check it.

It cooked well now add the chopped coriander and mix it well.

Serve it hot with Papad or chips.

It tastes yummy.
