Chegodalu(Chitti Chegodalu)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty snack called "Chegodalu". This is one of best and tasty snack in India. This we can have at evening tea time snack. This is my all time favourite snack. Most of the indian families love this snack. This we can prepare in various types. Today i am coming with one among them, This can be stored and fresh for 1month. The self life is more than 1 month. Ok lets go the recipe



Ingredients:

Rice flour-2 cups

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Oil 3 cups

Sesame Seeds-2 tsp

Ajwain-1/2 tsp

Butter-2 tsp

Jeera-1 tsp

Water  for 2 cups rice flour we use 1 and 1/2 cup water


Preparation:

Take rice flour in the bowl.

Add the ajwain, salt, chilli powder, sesame seeds one by one in the rice flour.

Whisk it well Keep it aside

In another wide deep bottomed pan add the butter and heat it.

When it gets heat add the jeera and fry it.

Now add the water and make it boil

When water starts to boil add the flour and mix it well

Fry for 2 minutes and later off the heat.

Now cover with lid and keep it aside for 20 minutes.

after 20 minutes now take the mixture on the kitchen island or big wide bowl.

Mix the dough by adding little little water to make smooth dough.

This is the time we can check the salt nd spicy for the dough.

Now make small potions of dough.

Now take the murukku press and select the chegodalu mould.

Now apply oil to the murukku press and take some dough in the murukku press. Now press like a string .

Now cut equally as shown here. Now make small rings and keep this aside.

Do all the dough small chegodalu.

Now take pan and add oil and heat it.

When the oil gets heat add small pieces and check whether the oil gets hat or not. Now oil is ready to fry.

Now slowly and carefully add the chegodalu and fry in medium heat until light brown.

Now take out from oil and keep it aside on the paper  to absorb extra oil.

Now enjoy hot hot chegodalu.

After cool down store the chegodalu in airtight box.

This can be fresh for more than 1 month.

We can make murukku with this dough too.
