Broken wheat-1 cup
Moong Dal-3/4th cup
Chopped Carrot-1/2 cup
Green Peas-1/2 cup
Tomatoes chopped-1 cup
Green Chillies-6
Ginger chopped-1 tsp
Curry Leaves Few
Turmeric little pinch
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Hing little pinch
Oil-2 tsp
Ghee-1 tsp
Water -8 cups(1 cup wheat ravva we use 4 cups water
1 cup moong dal we can use 3 cups water
1 cup veggies we can use 2 cups water)
Method:
Today i am preparing in the instant pot.
Turn on the instapot and select saute mode.When it gets heat add oil.
When oil gets heat add the mustard seeds jeera and make it pop.Now add the green chillies,chopped ginger/curry leaves mix it and add hing to it.
Add the chopped carrot and green peas and mix it.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
Fry for 2 minutes.Add the 8 cups of water ,salt and ghee mix it well.
Now turn on the porridge mode and cook it,
After 20 minutes when the pressure releases open it serve it hot.
Serve it hot with yogurt and pickle.
Note:
This we can do in the presurre cooker.All the procedure is same.We have to cook for 3 to 4 whistles/
Rice - This we can use rice instead of broken wheat.
Tomatoes - We can use or skip tomatoes.
Vegetables - We can use beans,cauliflower and brinjal too.
