Millets Uppindi(Korrabiyyam tho Uppindi)

Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and healthy recipe called "Millets Uppindi".This recipe we used to do with rice ravva.It tastes so good.Now a days everyone are trying with millets.So even I also tried this recipe with millets .It came out so good.Now I am making this dish everytime with millets only.I tried this with Pearl Millets.Lets go the recipe


Ingredients:

Pearl Millets(Korrabiyyam)-1 cup
Yellow split moong dal-3/4th cup
Green chillies-4
Dry red chillies -3
Curry leaves few
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Jeera-1 tsp
Hing little pinch
Salt to tast
Oil-1 tsp
Water-2+1 cups


 Preparations:

Clean well the split yellow moong dal well with water and soak the moong dal for 1 hour.



Clean the millets well with water and soak the millets for 30 minutes.









Method:

Place the deep bottomed pan heat it and add oil .

 When the oil gets heat add the mustard seeds and jeera.Make it pop.

 To this add the slit green chillies,dry red chillies,curry leaves and hing mix it.

 Add the soaked moong dal and mix it well .
 Cook this for 2 minutes.
 To this add required amount of water and salt.

 Cover it and make it boil.

When it starts to boil add the soaked millets and mix it well.

 Now cover with lid and cook in low heat for 10 minutes,(after 10 minutes if it doesn't cook .cook this for few more minutes)
 After few minutes millets cooked and uppindi is ready to serve.
 Serve this hot with yummy tomato chutney,
