Sorakaaya Vadiyalu/Bottle gourd vadiyalu

Hai friends today i am coming with nice recipe called "Sorakaaya Vadiyaalu".This is simple and easy to prepare.But need little patience.I saw this recipe in youtube.But  i changed few steps .They came out good.For this recipe we need full hot sun.It took 2 days to get dry.This we can store in airtight container.When we need we have to just deep fry them.This goes nice with rasam and sambar rice.I like with curd rice too.Ok lets go to the recipe.




Ingredients:

Urad dal-2 cups
Bottle gourd /Sorakaaya-1
Green chilli paste-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pasupu /Turmeric- little pinch

Preparation:

Soak the urad dal for 2 to 3 hours.





Then clean well the urad dal and take them in the grinder.

Grind it like vada consistency.
Keep this batter aside.

Bottle gourd /Sorakaya Mix Preparation:

Peel the skin and seeds of the bottle gourd.
Take the grater and grate the bottle gourd.
Now add the turmeric and salt in the grated bottle gourd.

Mix it and leave it aside for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes it leaves water so that squeeze the water and keep it aside.

Method:

Now the batter and bottle gourd is ready.
Take the bowl and add the batter,grated bottle gourd,green chilli paste,
Mix it well.





Take plastic sheet or tray apply oil.

Now take the batter and place on the sheet as ashown in the pic.

Dry it for two days.
When it get dry store in the air tight jar.

Place the oil for deep frying.When the oil gets slowly drop the dried vadiyaalu and fry it light brown.
Take out from oil and place them on the paper to absorb excess oil.

Serve it hot with rasam rice and sambar rice.

Tip of the day-7 How to clean microwave oven

Hai friends today i am comg with one most useful tip "How to clean Microwave oven".Now a days most of them are having the ovens.We all use daily.Due to heating heating the food we get smell in the oven.Sometimes it splatters too.To avoid all this tip is very helpful.I am using this tip since years.Ok lets go to the recipe

What we need:
--------------------

Microwave safe bowl.
Water 1 cup
Lemon-1/2 piece


How to use:
---------------

First we have to take water in the bowl.
Then add the lemon wedges or lemon pieces in the bowl.
Now place in the oven and heat it for 3 to 5 minutes.



After 5 minutes wait for 1 minute and then open the door.

Take out the bowl and wipe all sides in the oven  with clean cloth or wipe.

Now the oven smell fresh and clean.





Note:
-------

Dont over fill the water.

If u dont have lemon we can use 1/2 tsp baking soda.

Thotakura Kaadala Pulusu(Amaranth stems stew)

Hai friends today i am coming with simple and tasty recipe called "Thotakura Kaadala Pulusu".This is traditional South Indian Cuisine.I really love this recipe.This goes nice with steamed hot rice.This dish tastes like spicy,tangy and sweet.For this rice and stew papad goes nice with it.I love the combo.When ever u cut the leaves from the stems.Dont throw the stems u can cook this stew.Ok lets go to the recipe:

Ingredients:


 Thotakura Kadalu/Amaranth Stems-2 cups
Green Chillies-4 to 5
Tamarind-lemon size
Salt to taste
Tumeric little
Hing little pinch
Rasam Powder-1/2 tsp
Jaggery-1 to 2 tsp
Rice flour-2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies-few
Curry leaves few
Oil-1 tsp

Preparations:

Clean the stems well with water and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the pressure cooker pot and heat it.

Add the oil and heat it.To this add the mustard seeds and make it pop.

When it starts to pop add the jeera,dry red chillies ,curry leaves and hing one by one.



Add the thotakura stems and green chillies and mix it well.



To this add the tamarind juice ,1 cup water,salt and turmeric.



Pressure cook for 1 whistle.


When the pressure drops add the rasam powder,jaggery and boil it again.




Mix the rice flour in the water and slowly add to the pulusu without any lumps.

Now the pulusu is ready to serve with hot steamed rice.



Note:

We can add onions and garlic if u want.
