Yellow Peas Wada

Hai friends today i am coming with yummy yummy dish "Yellow Peas Wada".Its very simple and easy to make.This we can have any time like breakfast,lunch and evening snack.I enjoy it any time.It cooks easily too.Ok lets go to the recipe


Yellow peas-1 cup
Green chillies-4 to 5(Use acc to ur taste)
Ginger-small piece (As shown in the pic)
curry leaves few
Salt to taste
Jeera-1 tsp
Oil-2 cups


First clean the peas well with water.Soak the peas in the water at least for 5 to 6 hours.

In the jar take the green chilli,ginger and jeera and blend it.

After that add the soaked peas in the jar and blend to fine coarse as shown in the pic.

Finelly chop the onions .


Take frying pan and add the oil and heat it.In the meantime we have to prepare the mixture.

Take the wide bowl and add the coarse mixture,onions and the curry leaves and salt one by one and mix well.

Now check the oil gets heat or not.Just drop small amount of mixture and check it.When it floats now the oil is ready to fry.

Take small amount of mixture make a ball and press it like wada shape.Now slowly drop the wada in the oil.

Fry both side when it turns  to brown as shown in the pic.Take out from the oil and place on the paper to absorb excess oil.

Serve it hot with chutney.


Chilli ginger:Use according to your taste.

Onions:You can add more if u like the onion flavour.

Coriander Leaves:You can use coriander leaves too.

Dates and Nuts Roll

             HAPPY NEW YEAR

How are u all.Hope u  all are doing good.I have been busy these days so couldnt get a chance to post the recipes but I took many recipes pics.Will try to post.For the new year i want to post healthy sweet so coming with the dates and nuts rolls.

This is the recipe i want to share with u guys since like 3 years finally got a chance to take the pics and share with u guys.I hope u all will try this sweet .
Dates:Dates are a good source of various vitamins and minerals. Its a good source of energy, sugar and fiber. Essential minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorussodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc are found in dates. 
Dates gives good source to bones.It is good substitute to sugar in the smooties and milk shakes.

Figs:Figs are good source of Fiber.This fruits are not available throught out the year.But dried figs are available through out the year.
I like to eat fresh figs.It also helps to control the blood pressure.

Ok lets go the recipe.


SeedLess Dates-1 cup
Cashew-1/4 th cup
Badam-1/4th cup
Dried Figs-1/4th cup(We can use pista,walnut ,dried apricot too)
Poppy seeds/Ghasa Ghasalu-1/4th cup
Ghee-4 tsp


Dates:I am using seedless dates so just cut the dates into half as shown in the pic.Take this dates in the blender then blend to coarse form as shown in the pic.
Keep it aside.

Nuts:Chop all the nuts as shown in the pic.Keep it aside.

Figs:Chop the figs into chunk size and keep it aside.

Poppy Seeds:Dry roast the poppy seeds till it starts to pop.Keep it aside.


Place the pan and heat it.When it gets heat add the 2 tsp of ghee.To this add the chopped nuts and fry till it turns to light brown as shown in the pic.Keep this aside.

In the same pan add remaining ghee add the blended dates and fry in low heat until it turns to like paste as shown in th e pic.

Add the chopped fig to the dates and fry for one more minute to  mix it with dates.

To this add the nuts and mix it well to form like a dough as shown in the pic.

Take the foil and place the mixture on it and when it is little warm shape it like a log.

Now take the poppy seeds on the foil and roll the dates nuts log .the poppy seeds should all stick to the log(U can use dry coconut too.)

Cover the log with the foil and keep it aside for 2 hours.

After 2 hours unwrap the foil and cut it into slices as shown in the pic.
Serve it.


Poppy Seeds:You can use or u can skip the poppy seeds.
Instead of poppy seeds you can use dry coconut.

Nuts:We can use pista,walnuts,Raisans  too.
