Raksha Bandhan with treat Besan Laddoo

Happy Raksha Bandhan to all my Brothers and Sisters. Its nice festival for the Brothers and sisters. In telugu we call it Rakhi Punnam(Rakhi Purnima).
Raksha Bandhan (Hindi: रक्षाबंधन, Punjabi: ਰਕਸ਼ਾਬੰਧਨ, Urdu: رکشا بندھن the bond of protection), or Rakhi (Hindi: राखी, Bengali রাখী, Punjabi: ਰਾਖੀ, Urdu: راکھی), is a festival primarily observed in India, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is also called Rakhi Purnima in certain parts of India, like south.[1][2] The festival is observed by Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs.[3][4][5] The central ceremony involves the tying of a rakhi (sacred thread) by a sister on her brother's wrist. This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.[6][7] The festival falls on the full moon day (Shravan Poornima) of the Shravan month of the Hindu lunisolar calendar.[6][8][9][10] It grew in popularity after Rani Karnavati, the widowed queen of Chittor, sent a rakhi to the Mughal emperor Humayun when she required his help.
The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread, by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The brother in return offers a gift to his sister and vows to look after her as she presents sweets to him. The brother and sister traditionally feed one another sweets. Since north Indian kinship practices give cousins a status similar to siblings, girls and women often tie the rakhi to their male cousins as well (referred to as "cousin-brothers" in regional parlance) in several communities.[11][12] Unrelated boys and men who are considered to be brothers (munh-bola bhai or adopted brothers) can be tied rakhis, provided they commit to a lifelong obligation to provide protection to the woman or girl.
On this day in my place all the gents used to change the yagnopaveetam(Jandhyam). They had the holy bath.Wear a new dress and change the Yagnopaveetam. Then they do some pooja,Later we offer the sweet or the sweet dosa...Sisters will go to the brothers house and tie up the Rakhi. After my marriage i am not tieing the rakhi to my brother .I really missing this ocassion. But any way i have to prepare the sweet for my Husband
So i prepared "Besan Laddoo" for this occassion. It came out good and my husband loved it.
Ok lets go to the recipe

Besan-1 cup
Sugar-3/4 cup
Ghee or butter-1/2 cup
Elachi Powder little pinch

Take the blender and add the sugr and elachi and blend to fine powder.
Keep this aside.
Take the pan and heat it .
To this add the little ghee and cashew nut fry this until it changes to light brown in colour.Take out from heat and keep it aside.

Place the pan and heat it.To this add the butter and melt it.
When it melts add the besan little little by mixing continously.
Mix it well without any lumps and mix well fry this until the nice aroma comes.Dont fry too dark it gets burnt..
Now keep this aside and make it cool.
When it gets cool mix the sugar well and take some in hands and make laddoo finally put fried cashew on top of the laddoo.Do all the same and make laddoos.
This we can store in the Air tight box.
Now the laddoos are ready to serve.
