Simple Veg Biryani(Good for Bachelors)

Hai friends today i am coming with the Simple Vegetable Rice.This rice is very handy to make for all time.I learned this recipe from one of my friend Kavita.This is very simple and easy to make.

My brother he always asking me why u r not posting recipes for bachelors.So i am posting this recipe for him.I hope he enjoy.When ever i feel lazy i used to prepare this rice and have with the raita.
Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Rice -2 cups
Vegetables-Acc to ur choice(I use carrot,peas)
Onions-2(big onion 1)
Green chillies-7
Turmeric little pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli powder little
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp(optional)
Whole sipces-each 4(Elachi,Cloves,Cinnomon){Bachelors u can use store bought Garam masala}
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves few
Oil-2 tsp
Coriander leaves few
Water-required to cook the rice

Preparations:

First peel the skin of the carrot and chop it same as onions.
Slit the green chillies.

Method:

Place the cooker and heat it.
When it gets heat add the oil and the whole spice.
Later add the mustard seeds and make it pop then add the jeera,green  chillies and the curry leaves.
Fry this for 30 seconds.
To this add the chopped onions and little pinch turmeric mix it well cook this until the onions get transparent.
When the onions get cooked add the ginger garlic paste and fry this for 1 minute.
Add the chopped carrot and peas and mix well and fry this for 1 minute.
Now add the  rice and mix well .
To this add the require amount of water,salt and little chilli powder and mix well cover it and put the weight.
Now wait until we get 1 whistle and now off the stove.
Wait for 5 minutes now open the cooker mix well with thw chopped coriander.
Take this in the serving bowl and serve it hot with the Raita or curry.

Note:
Water:I use basmati rice for that the water ratio is 1 : 1.
For regular rice use 1( rice):3 (water).

If we cook regular rice cook this for 3 whistles.
For Basmati rice cook for 1 whistle.

Spicy corn masala(Jonna potta talimpu)

Hai friends today i am coming with the tasty,easy and simple recipe called "Spicy Corn Masala.This is very tasty and nice dish for evening snack.I love to eat this snack during rainy days.Few years back we get the corn in seasonal only.Now-a-days its very handy.When ever we want we can cook and eat.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Corn Kernels -2 cups
Onion-1
Green chillies-5 to 6
Curry leaves few
Oil-2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Turmeric little pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli Powder little pinch
Coriander Leaves few
Lemon juice -1 tsp

Preparations:

First remove the kernels and wash well with the water and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the pan and heat it.When it gets heat add the oil.
Now add the mustard seeds and make it pop.
When it starts poping add the jeera,green chillies and curry leaves fry this.
Now add the chopped onions and turmeric and mix it well.
Add the salt to cook the onions little faster.
After 1 minute the onions get cooked now add the cleaned corn kernels .
Add the little water to cook the corn.
When the corn gets cooked add little chilli powder and mix it well.
Finally add the chopped coriander and mix well.
Add lemon juice and Serve it hot.

Note:
If u would like to lemon juice to this you can add.I enjoy adding lemon juice.

Majjiga -1

Hai friends today i am coming with the Majjiga-1.U know i already come with the majjaga.Here i made it slight different from the previous one.Its very tasty and healthy.Here we r blending the fresh pudina ,coriander which fresh taste.I hope u would love this.Ok lets go to the recipe.



Ingredients:

Curd(Yogurt)-1 cup
Water -2 cups
Salt to taste
Sugar-1/2 tsp
green chillies-1/2 tsp
Ginger-1/2 tsp
Coriander  Leaves-few
Pudina-few
Lemon-1



Method:

Take the blender jar and add the curd,green chillies,ginger ,coriander leaves,pudina and water blend it.
After blending take it in the vessel
To this add the salt,sugar and lemon juice mix it well.
Now keep it in the  refrigerator.
Serve it directly or add the ice cubes and serve it in hot day or hot summer.

Lotus stem fry(Tamara tudulu)

Hai friends today i am coming with the Lotus stem fry.In telugu we cal l it as Tamara Tudulu.This we get fresh stems.We clean it well and peel the skin and boil it and stir fry this stems.Here we get frozen ones.We also get fresh ones in the asian groceries but they are very big ones its little difficult for me to eat.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Lotus stems-1 packet
Urad dal-1 tsp
Chana dal-1 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Green chillies-few
Dry red chillies-few(u can use according to ur taste)
Salt to taste
Chilli powder to taste
Turmeric-little pinch
Oil-2 tsp


Preparations:

Take the packet and open it and take the lotus stem pieces in the  glass bowl and defrost it.
To this add the water,turmeric and salt mix it well.
Cook this in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes(Check in the middle while it is cooking).
After 10 minutes take out and drain them in the colander and keep it aside for 5 minutes.

Method:

Take the wide pan and heat it.
To this add the oil,urad dal,chana dal fry till changes the colour.
Add the mustard seeds fry till it pops.
Now add the jeera,green chillies,dry red chillies,curry leaves  fry this for few seconds.
Add the turmeric,salt and finally add the drained lotus stems.
Mix it well.
If u want little spicy add very little chilli powder and mix it well.
Serve it hot in the evening snack.

Note:
Dont over cook the lotus stem.It should be little cruncy .
