Beerakaya Nora/Ridgegourd Peel Spicy Powder(Srikakulam Spl)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Beerakaya Nora". This we make with beerakaya peel. With the skin we can make chutney too. This goes nice with rice. We all love this curry powder. This is special dish we make in Srikakulam. Ok lets go the recipe




Ingredients:

Beerakaya Skin-2 cups

Garlic-1 full

Dry red chilli pieces- few

Salt to taste

Curry leaves few

Oil-2 tsp

Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Sesame seeds-2 tsp

Preparation:

Clean the beerakaya skin  well with water .Drain the water and grind it coarse and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the pan heat it and add the oil when it gets heat.

Add the chopped garlic and fry until light brown.

Now add the mustard seeds,jeera,dry red chilli pieces,curry leaves. Mix it well

Now add the grinded beerakaya peel powder and mix it well.

Add 1/4 th cup of water  mix it well .Cover it and cook in low heat for 3 minutes or until water evaporates.

Now mix it well and keep the curry  aside in the pan and add the sesame seeds and roast for 1 to 2 minutes or untill toast.

Now sesame seeds roasted well and mix it well.

Now dish out the cueey powder nad serve it hot with hot steamed rice.

Aratikaya/Plantain Podi Koora

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty curry 'Aratikaya Podi Koora". This is very simple and unique recipe. This can be prepared with or without onion. I made this curry in both ways. I loved it both ways. This curry goes nice with rasam rice and sambar rice. This we can add the tomato too. When i feel bore with some curries i love to change some ingredients and try new recipes. In the same way we can do Potato and Sweet Potato. Ok lets go the recipe









Ingredients:


Aratikayalu/Plantain-3

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Oil-1 to 2 tsp

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1 tsp

Chana dal-1 tsp

Dry red chilli pieces few

Curry Leaves few


Procedure:

Here are the raw bananas. Clean well with water and cut the ends.

Keep them in the water. Place the vessel on the stove and heat it

Boil the raw banana until the fork or knife insert.

Off the heat and take out from the water.

Make it cool and peel the skin. Grate it as shown here,

Here is grated raw banana.


Method:

Place the pan add oil and heat it. When oil gets heat add the urad dal and chana dal. When chana dal is 

light brown add the mustard seeds,jeera.dry red chilli pieces and curry leaves

add the salt and chili powder mix it immediately in low heat.

Soon add the grated  cooked plantain. Mix it well and off the heat

Now curry is ready

Gutti Bendakaya/Stuffed Bhindhi/Stuffed Okra

Hai friends today i am coming with new recipe called "Stuffed Bhindhi".This is called Gutti Bendakaya Koora in telugu.I saw this recipe in TV.I really like this recipe and give a try.Actually this recipe is deep fry but i changed to shallow fry .It really came out good.The stuffing itself is very tasty.Ok lets go the recipe

Ingredients:

Bendakayalu-1 lb
Onions chopped 1 cup
Besan-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Gingergarlic paste-1 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp(Use acc to ur taste)
Garam  masala-1/2 tsp
Cholemasala-1 tsp
Turmeric little pinch

Preparations:

First clean the okra well with water and drain them in the colander.
Or pat dry with the towel or paper.
Cut it as shown in the pic.

Preparation of stuffing Masala:

Take a bowl and add the chopped onions,ginger garlic paste,turmeric,salt,chilli powder,garam masala,chole masala besan one by one.












Mix it well.

How to stuff in Okra:

Take the okra and carefully stuff the masala as shown in the pic.






Method:

Place the pan and heat it.
To this add the oil and slowly add the stuffed okra in  the pan.

Cook this in slow flame for 15 minutes.

Turn the other side of okara nad cook for more time.


Finally add little salt and chilli powder and mix it.

Serve it hot with steam white rice ,rasam rice or Sambar Rice.

Potals Pakodi Curry

Hai friends today I am coming with new recipe called Potals Pakodi Curry.This is also called as Parval pakodi curry.This vegetable is one of my favourite.Now-a-days in dallas we used to get a lot before it was so expensive now it is good.Now I am enjoying this recipe.Every week I am preparing this curry.One day my husband asked why u always making this same curry so I asked my mom some different recipes she said this pakodi recipe.But I changed this pakodi to curry.Love it.I hope u all gng to love this curry.Ok lets go the recipe

Ingredients:

Potals/Parwal-2 cups
Besan-5 tsp
Rice flour-2 tsp
Baking soda-little pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli powder to taste
Turmeric little pinch
Sesame seeds-1 tsp
Coriander leaves handsful
Oil for deep frying

Seasonig:

Oil-1 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli pieces-few
Curry leaves few
Onion-1(chopped)

Preparations:

Clean the potals well with water and cut it like length wise.
Keep this potals aside.

Method:

  Take a bowl and add the potals,salt,chilli powder,turmeric,baking soda,rice flour,besan and sesame seeds.Mix it well.








The mixture should be coated well to the potals.

Take oil in the pan and heat it for deep frying.
When the oil gets heat drop the potals one by one.

Fry this till it turns to light brown.

Take out from oil and place them on the paper to absorb excess oil.

Do all the potals like this and keep it aside.
This we can have it as pakodi too.

Curry preparation:

Take the pan and add oil and heat it.
To this add the mustard seeds and make it pop.

When it starts to pop add the jeera,dry chilli pieces and curry leaves fry for few seconds.



To this add the chopped onions and turmeric fry it till it changes to light brown.


Now add the little chilli powder and salt mix it.


Now add the pakodi and mix it well.
Finally add the chopped coriander and mix it well.
Serve it hot as snack or side dish.
