Usirikaya Thokku Pacchadi

 Hai friends today I am coming with Yummy and Tasty recipe called "Usirikaya Thokku Pacchadi". This is very tasty and healthy pacchadi.. This we call Gooseberry in English. Amla In Hindi. This is very good sourcd of Vitamin C. Good for Immunity. This we can make it and store in fridge more than a month.

Ingredients:

Gooseberry/Usirikayalu- 1 cup
Dry red chillies- According to our taste
Green Chillies- Acc to ur Taste
Methi seeds- 1/4th tsp
Urad dal-1 tsp
Chana Dal-1 tsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Jeera-1 tsp
Turmeric  little
Curry leaves few
Garlic 5 to 6 cloves
Coriander Leaves Handsfull



Method:

Place the pan and heat it. Add 2 tsp of oil.
When oil get heats add the dry chillies and Green chillies.
Fry for some time and take it out and keep aside.
In the same pan add the methi seeds and fry in low heat until nice aroma comes.
Now add the urad dal and chana dal and fry it
Roast this in low heat. Then only the pickles taste good.
Add the mustard seeds and jeera to this
Now add the gooseberry chunks and fry in low heat until 5 minutes.
Add the turmeric and few curry leaves mix well and fry in low heat.
Add the garlic pieces and fry it
Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes add the handsfull of coriander and mix it well
Now the gooseberry is cooked well.
Off the heat and make it cool.
Now take the chillies in the mortar pastle and crush it.
We can use in it mixie also.
Now add the rest of mixture and crush it.
Now add salt and crush it like thokku.
Now thokku is ready.
Finally add seasonging and serve it with hot steamed rice.
This we can  store this in clean dry glass  jar.
Store this in the fridge.
Fry in low heat for 2 minutes

Chikkudu Kaya Pickle(Flat beans Pickle)


 Hai friends today i am coming with yummy and tasty pickle(Chikkudu Kaya Pickle". This is very new to me when i saw in  youtube. I was really surprised and give it a try. It came out so good. I made this pickle from my backyard beans. Fresh and organics veggies from our garden makes us feel happy.Ok lets go the recipe

Ingredients:







Ingredinets:

Chikkudu Kayalu/Broad beans-1 lb

Tamarind-small lemon size

Salt to taste

Chili powder to taste

Turmeric little pinch

Oil-1 cup

Garlic-6 to 7 cloves

Mustard seeds-1 tsp+1 tsp

Methi seeds-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Dry red chillies few

Curry Leaves few

Chana dal-2 tsp

Urad dal-2 tsp

Dry red chillies few

Curry leaves few

Preparations:

Clean well the beans with water and drain the water .




Now dry the beans on the towel or paper.



When beans completely dry cut the ends as shown in the pic

Now take the small lemon size tamarind in the bowl and add 1 cup of water and boil it.



When it gets cool  mix it well and drain the pulp and keep it aside


Mustard seeds and Methi seeds powder

Place the pan add both mustard and methi seeds .Fry this in low heat.




Take them in a bowl and make it cool.



When it gets cool add them in the mortar and pestle or blend to smooth powder in the blender






Method:

Place the pan add 1 cup of oil and heat it. When it gets heat add the beans and fry it
 till the beans are cooked.




Take out from the oil and keep it aside



Now in same oil add the chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds, jeera garlic ,curry leaves and dry red chillies and fry for 1 minutes.





Later add the tamarind pulp and fry till the water gets evoparated.



When it gets cooked add the turmeric, chilli powder and the salt




Mix it well and fry for 1 minute.


Finally add the fried chikkudu kayalu , mustard seeds and methi seeds powder  and mix it well.



Cook this for 1 to 2 minutes and off the heat.


When it gets cooled  transfer the pickle in the clean dry jar and store it



Serve this with hot steamed rice.

Instant Dosakaya Mukkala Pacchadi

Hai friends today i am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Instant Dosakaya Mukkala Pacchadi".This is very easy tasty recipe .Within no time we can prepare yummy and tasty pacchadi.This can be stored in the fridge for 15 days.

This year in my garden the dosakaya yield is so much .I did so many variety dishes with the dosakaya




Ingredients:

Dosakaya-1

Mustard seeds-2 tsps

Jeera-2 tsp

Salt to taste

Methi Powder 1/4th tsp

   Chilli powder-1 tsp(Use acc to your taste)

    Turmeric little pinch

    Jaggery-1 tsp

    Oil-2 tsp

   Lemon juice-2 tsp


Preparations:


Clean well the dosakaya and peel the skin and remove the seeds.



Chop into small pieces and keep it aside.

How to make mustard seeds and jeera powder:


Place the pan add the mustard seeds and jeera.


Nice aroma will come when it is done .Make it cool .

When it is completely cool down transfer the mustard seeds and jeera in the mortar and pestle

Make the powder and keep it aside.(You can use mixie too)

Method:

Take the dosakaya pieces in the bowl .Add the Salt ,chilli powder, turmeric powder,

Jeera mustard seeds powder,jaggery,lemon juice and oil one by one.










Keep this aside for 1 hour and later you can enjoy the pacchadi.This can be stored in the fridge for 15 days and more.
