Natu Kodi Kura(Country Chicken Curry)

 Hai friends today I am coming with yummy and tasty recipe called "Natu Kodi Kura". This is very easy and tasty recipe. We get Natu Kodi in villages But now we are getting here too.. We get burnt country chicken too.  This is best combo for wada, biryani, Ragi  Sankati. This is good combo for puri  and idly too. The curry should be little spicy only. Then only it tastes awesome. Ok lets go the recipe



Ingredients:

Chicken-2 lbs

Onion-2(big)

Turmeric -Little

Green chillies-3 to 4

Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsps

Salt to taste

Chilli powder to taste

Tomatoes-2

Coriander leaves handsfull

Curry leaves few


Masala Ingredients:

Dry coconut/Fresh-1/4th cup

Dry red chillies- 3 or 4(use acc to ur taste)

Cloves-5

Elachi-3

Cinnamon-1 piece

Poppy seeds - 1 tsp

Peppercorns-1 tsp

Shahjeera-1 tsp

Bay leaf - 1

Coriander seeds-2 tsp

Jeera-1 tsp

Preparations:

Masala Powder: First dry roast the masala in low heat. Roast the spices till nice aroma comes. Off the heat and make it cool. Now grind the roasted masala to powder. Keep this aside.

Method:

This curry has to be done in the pressure cooker.

Place the pressure cooker and heat it. Add the oil .(I added 2 tsps because later cooking we get more fat from the curry)

Now add the chopped onions and fry it till the onions are transparent.

Add the turmeric and ginger garlic paste fry it till raw smell goes.

Now add the cleaned country chicken pieces mix it well and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.

Add salt and mix it well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now add the grinded masala mix it well and fry for 4 to 5 minutes

Add chilli powder and mix it well.Cook for 4 to 5 minutes

Now add the chopped tomatoes mix it and cook for 3 minutes.

Add 2 cups of water if needed add more too.

Finally add the curry leaves .Cover it and cook for 9 whistles.

After that when pressure goes down open the lid .Now curry cooked well.Finally sprinkle coriander leaves.

Serve it hot with biryani  or puri or idly or raagi sankati
