Okra Masala

Hai friends today i am coming with the Okra Masala.This recipe i got while googling i love it and tried the recipe it came out good and very tasty.This goes well with rice and also with roti.I hope u will love it.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Okra-1/2 kg
Onions-2
Tomatoes-2
Green chillies-3 to 4
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

Spice mix:
--------------
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Jeera powder-1/2 tsp
Fenugreek powder-1/4 th tsp
Chilli powder-Acc to ur taste
Hing-1/4 th tsp

For Seasoning:
-----------------
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Oil-1 to 2 tsp(I use olive oil)

Method:

Preparations:
First clean the okra and cut the heads of prick the okra with the fork on all sides and keep it aside.
Chop both the tomatoes and the onions.Slit or chop the green chillies.
Now place the deep bottomed pan and add the water and bring it boil.
When it is boiling add the okra and cover it with the lid cook for 5 minutes.
Again bring it to boil and switch off .Now drain the water and again add the cool water.
Mix well then drain the water.

Actual Procedure:

Place the deep bottomed pan and add the oil and heat it.
When it gets heaat add the mustard seeds when it pops add the jeera ,green chillies and curry leaves and fry it.
To this add the chopped onions and turmeric mix it well and cook this for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes add the chopped tomatoes and ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 more minutes.
To this add the spice mix and mix well.
Finally add the cooked okra,salt and 1/2 cup water mix it cover it with lid and cook this in low heat for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes take this in serving bowl and garnish with coriander.
Serve hot with rice and roti.

    Boiling the okra before making the curry sounds interesting.This dish looks very yummy.
    I am hosting an event with OKRA and today is the last day for it.It would be nice to see your recipe in the event.
