Hai friends today i am coming with Ulli Pakodi.Its also called as Onion Pakoda.Its one of all time favourite tea time snack .Everybody loves this pakodi.During rainy evening first we in mind is ulli pakodi.Its very simple to prepare and very tasty.Ok lets go to the recipe.
Ingredients:
Onions-2
Green chillies-2
Besan -1 cup
Rice flour-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp(Acc to ur taste)
Ajwain(Vaamu)-1/2 tsp
Baking soda-little pinch
Curry leaves few
Oil for deep frying
Preparations:
First cut the onions in length wise as shown in the pic.
Chop the green chillies and the curry leaves and keep it aside.
Method:
Take the oil in the deep frying pan and heat it.
In the mean time we have to prepare the batter and mix with the onions.
Take the bowl and add the onions,green chillies and curry leaves and mix well.So that the green chillies and curry leaves gives nice flavour to the onions.
To this add the besan,rice flour,baking soda,ajwain,chilli powder ,salt and mix it well.
now add the water and mix it well.Dont add to much water it should be like little hard as shown in the figure.
Now the oil gets heat and slowly drop the onions little little as shown in the pic.
Fry this until it turns to light brown.
Take out from the oil and place on the paper to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot with the ketchup or green chutney.
