Kakinada Kaaja

Hai friends today I am coming with one of famous recipe called "Kakinada Kaja".This is really tasty sweet.I first tasted this recipe in the function I really enjoyed the taste.Now I really want to eat but I cant.One day in TV they saw this recipe and I was really happy and soon give a try.It came out good.Ok lets go to the recipe


Maida-1 cup
Besan-2 tsp
Baking powder-1/4th tsp
Sugar-1 1/2 cup
Oil and ghee-1 cup
Ghee-1 tsp


 Place the maida in the flat wide plate and made hole in the centre as shown in the pic.

Add the besan and mix it well.

Add the ghee and mix it well .The mix must be as powder.

Now add the baking soda , water and mix the dough.

The dough should be like chapathi dough.

Mix the dough very well for 10 minutes.

Cover the with damp cloth and keep it aside for 1 hour.

How to make Sugar Syrup:

Take the sugar in the pan and add water until the sugar dissolves.

Mix it well and make it boil.

The sugar syrup should be same as like for Gulab Jamun Syrup.

Keep the syrup aside and make it cool.(The syrup should be luke warm only)


Now its time to make the Kaaja's.
Remove the cloth and take the dough and make it like long and thin log.

Now make it small cubes like as shown in the pic.Make the cubes for all the dough.

Take each cube and roll it again.

Place the oil and ghee in the deep frying pan and heat it.

When the oil gets heat slowly drop the kaaja's  in the oil and fry until it turns to golden yellow.

Take out from the oil and keep it aside.Do to all cubes.

Now add the all fried kaaja's to the oil and fry it again in low heat until dark brown.

When it changes the colour add to the syrup and soon cover with  the holes lid.(Due to the pressure and hot kaaja's the syrup goes inside the kaaja's.


Take out from the syrup and serve it hot.
Now the Kaaja's taste yummy.
