Onion Chutney-1

Hai friends today i am coming with simple dish called "Onion Chutney".This is simple and easy to prepare .This goes nice with idly and dosa.I learned this from my friend Deepika.When ever she prepares this chutney we all enjoy fully.I learned this recipe from her.Today i want to share the recipe with u.Ok lets go to the recipe



Ingredients:

 Onions-2
Dry red chillies-4
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Tamarind small size like gooseberry size
Oil 1 tsp
Turmeric-little pinch

Preparations:

First cut the onions into chuncks and keep it aside.

Method:

First place the pan and add oil then heat it.




Fry only onions for 5 minutes and then add jeera,chillies,turmeric one by one.




Cook this until the onions changes it colour to light brown.

At last add the tamarind and mix it well.

Now off the heat and make it cool.
When the onions mixture is cool take the entire mixture in the jar and add the salt.


Blend to the smooth paste.

Now the chutney is ready.
Serve it with dosa or idly.

Spicy Phool Makhana

Hai friends today I am coming with simpla and yummy snack called "Spicy Phool Makhani".This is very simple ans easy to prepare.These are called Lotus seeds and Foxnuts.
Basically a floating water lily plant native to eastern asia. the plant grows in water. the plant’s white seeds are edible. the plant is cultivated for its seeds in india, china and japan. the chinese have cultivated the plant for 3000 years and the seeds are used in traditional chinese medicine. as makhana is harvested in stagnant wetlands, no fertilizers or pesticides are used in the entire cultivation. thus making these naturally organic.
makhana is rich in calcium, protein, carbohydrates, phosphorous, iron, thiamine and zinc. makhana have a neutral taste. you can spice it up the way you want. just roast them and when they are cool, store in an air-tight container. anytime you want a light and nutritious snack, just have the roasted makhana.
I actually never try and taste this before.One day I show this is tv and give a try.I liked it.If we have Phool Makhana sitting in ur pantry just give a try.It can be prepared under 15 minutes.Ok lets go to the recipe.


Ingredients

Phool Makhana- 1 packet
Oil-3 tsp
Salt to taste
Chilli powder to taste
Turmeric


Preparation:

Heat oil in a pan or kadai.

Add the makhana and roast for a good 10-12 minutes on a low heat till they become crisp and crunchy. keep on stirring in between.



When they turn crispy keep them aside in another bowl.

Now in same pan add 1 tsp oil and make it heat.

To this add the turmeric,salt and chilli powder.(Don't make burnt the spices)




Add the phool makhana to the spicy mixture and mix it well.

Make it cool and store in the air tight box.

Serve it with tea or we can have it without tea.

Mothichoor Laddoo

Hai friends today i am coming with Mothichoor Laddoo.This is one of the famous sweet in India.This is traditional sweet .Everybody prepares this for festivals,occasions.I used to prepare thi sweet during big festivals.This we can store for 15 days and more.I am not that good at making boondhi so I prepfer to making mothichoor laddoo.Ok lets go to the recipe.


Ingredients:

Besan-1 cup
Sugar-1 1/2 cup
Water-1 cup for sugar and 1/4 cup for besan
Elachi-few pods
ghee-1 tsp




Method:


How to prepare sugar syrup :

First  we have to prepare the sugar syrup.
Take one large add the sugar and 1 cup water in it and mix well.



Make it boil until it forms like the single string consistency.


How to prepare Boondhi:

Now take besan in one cup add water in till.


It should be like the dosa batter so that it can drop one by one from the holes ladle.
Put oil in the deep frying pan and heat it.

When it is heat add one drop of batter in it.When the drop floats on top immediately then it is ready to prepare the boondhi


Now pour 2 tsp of baater on the holes laddle then the batter comes down like drops and forms boondhi.


Now transfer the boondhi in the sugar syrup.
Do all the batter.
Add  all the boondhi to syrup and mix well.

 Now add all the boondhi mixture to the jar and blend to coarse texture.


Take all the blended mixture in the bowl as shown in the pic.

Take small amount of blended mixture to the hand make small size balls as shown in the pic.
Do all the mixture and make laddoo.

Serve it in all occasions.Everyone will enjoy.
