Sorakaaya/Aanapakaaya koora (Bottle gourd curry with peanut powder)

Hai friends today I am coming with yummy curry called "Sorakaaya palli koora".This curry is very easy  and yummy.While I was googling I saw this recipe and tried this recipe.It came out good.It tastes yummy.This curry goes well with both rice and roti.I tried with both.I like it with both.With this spicy podi we can add to more curries.Ok lets go to the recipe


Ingredients:

Sorakaaya/Aanapakaya-1
Onion-1(big)
Curry leaves few
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Turmeric little

Spice powder

Peanuts-1/4th cup
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp(Acc to ur taste)
Garlic cloves-2
Jeera-1/2 tsp


 Preparations:

Spice powder:

First dry roast the peanuts .Fry until it turns to light brown.


Allow it to cool.Add the cooled peanuts in the jar.

Add the chopped garlic,salt,chilli powder,jeera along with the peanuts.

Blend it to powder.Keep this spice powder aside.


How to cook Bottle gourd:

First peel the skin of the bottle gourd.Cut it into chunks as shown in the pic.

Clean well with water and strain the cleaned water.

Add fresh water,salt and turmeric mix it and place it in the pressure cooker.(Don't allow to more whistle otherwise it may cook over cooked)





Cook this for 2 whistle.Now off the heat and wait until the pressure goes.

Now strain them in the colander.Keep this cooked pieces aside.


Method:

Place the wide pan and heat it.
To this add the oil,mustard seeds and jeera.Make it pop.

Add the curry leaves too.

Add the chopped onions and turmeric cook until it becomes to light brown.





Now add the cooked bottle gourd without water.

Mix it well.

Finally add the spice powder and mix it well.

Cook this for 5 minutes.

Now the curry is done.Serve hot with both the rice and roti.


Note:

Salt:    We add salt in the spice powder so no need to add while frying the curry.

Vegetables:We can use any vegetable Tindora,Potals ,potatoes instead of Bottle gourd.
