Pavbhaji

Hai friends today i am coming with one of tasty street food called "Pavbhaji".The pav is bread and bhaji is called curry.Pav Bhaji is one of famous street food in Mumbai.When i visited pune we have yummy pavbhaji there.We really enjoyed the dish on that day.Me and my husband very fond of this snack or dinner.Its very simple and easy to make.We used more veggies so its a pack of meal.

Ingredients:


Pavs-1 packet
Potatoes-2
Carrot-2
Green peas-1 cup
Onion-1(big)
Capsicum-1
Tomatoes-2
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pavbhaji masala-2 tsp
Coriander(chopped)-Handsfull
Butter-3 tsp
Food colour -little(optional)
Lemon slices-2

Preparation:

Clean the potatoes and carrot well with water,Peel the skin and chop it into chuncks.
Again clean it with water once and transfer them to the pressure cooker.
Add the required amount of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.

When the pressure goes down mash it well with masher.Keep it aside.

Chop the onions,capsicum and tomatoes .


Method:

Take the wide pan and heat it.To this add 2 tsps of butter .
When it gets heat add the jeera and fry it.

Now add the finelly chopped onions and cook it till it turns to light brown.




Then add the chopped capsicum and tomatoes cook for 2 to 3 minutes or tomatoes cooked well.





Add the ginger garlic paste fry for few seconds.

Add the pavbhaji masala mix it well.Soon add the cooked veggies and mix well with masala.



Now time to add salt,food colour and water mix it cover it and cook it for 10 minutes.





Finally add 1 tsp of butter and chopped corainder.

Now the hot hot bhaji is ready.

Pav:

Place the griddle or pan heat it.

To this add the butter and heat it.

Cut the pav into half as shown in the pic and roast it on both sides.



How to serve:

Take Pav and Bhaji on the serving plate On the bhaji add little butter,chopped coriander and chopped onions along with lemon.
