Cabbage Pakodi

Hai friends today i am coming with simple and easy tasty snack called "Cabbage Pakodi".This is very simple and tasty snack.During the rainy season this snack goes well with tea.This we can prepare with Urad dal batter or besan.Today i am coming with besan version.Ok lets go the recipe


Shredded Cabbage-2 cups
Onion slices-1/2 cup
Besan/Chickpea flour-1 cup
Rice flour-1/2  cup
Ginger green chilli paste-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Baking Soda-little pinch
Curry leaves few
Coriander leaves hands ful
Turmeric-little pinch
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Oil -For deep frying


Take shredded cabbage  with turmeric and boil it.

 The cabbage should be over cooked.It should be little crunchy.Off the heat and drain the cabbage in the colander.Now keep the cabbage aside.


Take the cooked cabbage,ginger green chilli paste,baking soda,onions,curry leaves,chopped coriander,besan,rice flour,jeera,salt,chilli powder one by one.Mix it well.Add little water.(While mixing the cabbage and onion leaves little water that water is also enough to mix.

 The mixture is ready.
 Heat oil in the deep bottomed pan.When the oil gets heat slowly drop the mixture little little balls.
 Fry it in low flame until light brown.
 Now the pakodi is cooked well.
 Take out from oil and place on the paper to absorb excess oil.
 Serve it hot with ketchup.
