Hai friends today i am coming with the Potals fry.In hindi we call it as Parval Curry.I love this curry.Here we dont get fresh.If we find but it is too expensive.2 weeks back here in dallas One Indian store was grand opening there we get fresh and they have offer to the parval.Soon i grabbed some.Today i want to share the recipe with u.Ok lets go to the recipe.
Ingredients:
Potals-1 lb
Onions-2
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli pieces-few
Curry Leaves few
Turmeric little pinch
Salt to taste
Chilli powder acc to taste
Oil-1 tsp
Preparations:
First cut the ends of the potals then cut it into half in lenght wise as shown in the pic.
Then clean well with the water and keep it aside.
Method:
Place the frying and heat it.When it gets heat add the oil and the urad dal.
Fry this until it changes to light brown now add the mustard seeds,jeera.
Fry this until it pops.When it start to pop add the dry red chilli pieces,curry leaves.
Add the chopped onions and turmeric mix it well.
Fry this until the onions changes to light brown.
Add the potals and salt mix it well.
Cover and cook until the potals get cooked.(ooooooooooooops missed the pic adding the salt sorry guys)
When it gets cooked add the chilli powder and mix it well.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
