Stuffed Bitter gourd(Gutti Kakarakaya)

Hai friends today iam coming with the nice and tasty recipe called Stuffed Bitter gourd.We call it Gutti Kakarakaya in Telugu.I love Bitter gourd fry,pickle and podi.I did not fry too much because if we fry too much it looses some bitterness.It tastes good with little bitter.ok lets go to the recipe.


Ingredients:

Bitter gourd-8
Oil-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric little pinch

For stuffing:

Roasted chana dal-1/2 cup
Chana dal-1 tsp
Urad dal-1 tsp
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies-5(use according to ur taste)
Oil-1 tsp

Preparations:

First we have to prepare the powder for stuffing:

Place the pan on the stove and heat it.When it gets heat add the all the ingredients except the roasted chana dal.
Fry this till it changes to light brown.
When it changes the colour.Off the heat and keep it aside and make it cool.
When it gets cool take this in the jar and add the roasted chana dal,salt  and blend to nice powder.

Keep this powder aside.

How to make Bitter Gourd Pockets:

Take all the bitter gourd and gently peel the outer skin little as shown in the pic.
Clean well with the water.
Now take another microwave safe bowl and add the water till the bitter gourd dissolves.
To this add required amount of salt and turmeric.
Cook this for 10 to 15 minutes.
We have to check in the middle.(We should not over cook the Bitter gourd).
When it gets cooked slowly make slit and take out the seeds as shown in the pic.
Do to all the Bitter gourd and keep this aside.

Method:

Now we have both the Bitter gourd and stuffing ready.
Take the Bittergourd and fill it with the powder and close it and tie with the thread as shown in the pic.
Do all bitter gourd and keep it aside.
Now place the another pan and add the oil and heat it.
When it gets heat place the Bitter gourd and fry this till all the sides get cooked well.
In lower heat we have to fry this till it is done.
Serve hot with the steam hot rice.
