Vundrala Payasam(Vinayaka Chaviti Spl)

Vinayaka Chavithi Subhakankshalu  to all my blogger friends
                                                         Ganapathi Bappa Moriya
Hai friends today i am coming with the Vundrala payasam. This is the special dish we mostly prepare on Vinayaka Chaturthi. This is the main prasadam on that day. Some times we used to prepare it in normal days also. This sweet needs little preparations but tastes good. The best part for this payasam is to make balls during my childhood.Me and my sister we compitate to make the balls. That was really fun. With this dough we can prepare many sweetsBefore i came with some recipes like Paala rotti and Paala kakka raalu. My mom is best to make this dishes. We really love it.Actually when i went to India she prepared this payasam then i took pics. This dish is prepared by her.Ok lets go to the recipe

Ingredients:

For dough
------------
Rice-1 cup
Sugar-3/4 th cup
Salt little pinch
Water required to grind
Milk-2 cups

For payasam
---------------
Milk-4 cups
Salt little pinch
Ghee 1/4 th cup

Preparations:

First clean the rice well with water.Soak the rice for 2 hours.
Add the rice and little water to the jar and  blend to smooth paste.
Now take the mix in the deep bottomed pan and add the milk, sugar and little salt to it and mix well.
Now heat the mix in low heat to make the paste. We have to mix it continuosly without stopping.(otherwise it sticks to the pan)

After sometime the mix gets to thick paste as shown in the pic.
Now the paste is done.(To know how the paste is done wet the hand and touch the paste when the paste is not stick to the hand then the paste is ready.)
Transfer this paste to another bowl and keep it aside for few minutes(If we keep it long it becomes dry)

How to prepare the balls for payasam.

While preparing this balls we have to apply ghee to hand palms and take some dough .
(We prepare the dough like cone shape as shown in the pic)
Take small amount of  dough on the left hand palm and slowly we have to turn the right hand clockwise now we get the balls.
We have to do all the dough like that and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the deep bottomed pan and pour the milk and heat it.
When it starts to boil slowly add the prepared balls, and mix it once
Then add sugar, salt and make it cook.
This will cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Now to this we have to add the rice flour mixed with water
When it is boiling we have to prepare the rice flour and water in the bowl without any lumps.
When it is biling slowly add the mix by mixing continously.
Now off the heat and serve it hot or cold.
