Ingredients:
Yellow Lemons-5
Green lemons-3(for juice)
Chilli powder-1/4 cup
Salt-half to 1/4 cup
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Oil-2 to 3 tsp
Fenugreek powder little pinch
Turmeric little pinch
jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli pieces-few
Method:
First wash the yellow lemons and rub with cloth to dry the lemons without the water.
Now cut the lemon into 8 chunks.
Remove the seeds.Now take the green lemon and squeeze the juice and keep it aside.
Take the clean and dry bowl an add the lemon pieces in it and add the chilli podwer,turmeric,fenugreek powder,salt and mix it well.The mix should apply to all pieces.
Now add the lemon juice and mix it well.Take the clean jar and place all the mixture in the jar.Keep this jar in the sunlight for 5 days and mix it well daily with clean and dry spoon.
After five days Take small pan for poppu.Pour the oil and heat it.Now add the mustard seeds,jeera and chilli pieces and this to the pickle (Add after it cools )and mix it well.
Now serve this pickle with rotis,curd rice and to dosas also.
Its nice combo to curd rice.Its really divine.
Note:Dont mix the pickle with the wet spoons otherwise it get spoil.

ReplyDeleteLooks so spicy and delicious! This is a different way of preparation. At home my mom uses stove top cooking method. As I have never tried I'm not very familiar with it. This looks great!
