Ingredients:
Potlakayalu(snake gourds)-2
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli pieces few
Curry leaves few
Salt to taste
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Chana dal-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric -1/8 tsp
Oil -1 tsp
Preparations:
First wash and peel the skin of the snake gourd with the knife and cut them into thin slices.
Wash it well with water and keep it aside.
Method:
Place the pan and heat it .When it gets heat add the oil,urad dal and chana dal fry until the changes light brown.
To this add the mustard seeds and jeera.When the mustard seeds start to pop add the dry red chillipieces and curry leaves fry this.
Now add the cleaned snake gourd and turmeric and mix it well.
After 1 minute add required amount of salt cover and cook in low heat until it gets cooked.
After it gets cooked add the chilli powder and fry for 1 minute.
Switch off the heat and take them in the serving bowl.Serve hot with plain steamed rice.
