Spicy Mint Powder/Pudina Powder

Hai friends today i am coming with the Mint Spicy Powder.I got this recipe from my Mom.Last summer when i went to India i told to my mom how to prepare the Drumstick leaves powder she really like the recipe .Last week when i was talking to my mom she told that she tried with Pudina.She told that its really nice.This week i give a try we really enjoy the flavour.So want to share with u.Ok lets go to the recipe.


Ingredients:

Pudina/Mint  leaves-2 to 3 cups
Urad dal-1/2 cup
Dry red chillies-6
Dhaniya(coriander seeds)-3 to 4 tsp
Jeera-2 tsp
Garlic cloves-5
Tamarind-small goosberry size
Salt-Acc to our taste
Oil-1 tsp

Preparations:

First separate the leaves from the stems and keep it aside.
Clean the leaves well with water.Drain the water completely.

 Method:

Place the pan and heat it.
Dry roast the  urad dal and Chana dal until they changes to light brown.
Add caption

Take out from the pan and make it cool.
In the same pan add the Dhaniya,jeera.Dry red chillies and dry roast till the chillies roasted well.
Take out from the pan and make it cool.

Now take another pan and heat it when it gets heat add the Pudina leaves and heat it.
Add caption
Fry until the water gets evaporated in the leaves.
Finally take the blender and add the roasted spices ,Mint,tamarind,garlic,salt and blend to the fine powder



Now take this powder in the Airtight box
Serve this with steam rice by adding ghee and this powder.Mix it well and enjoy.

    just a doubt can this be stored for few weeks in fridge, because the leaves are not completely dry. thanx in advance

    1. Hi Anamika thanx for the comment and wrap the leaves with the paper so that we can store moer days in the fridge.

  5. Hi, you mentioned 1/2 cup urad dal for 2-3 cups of mint and then in comments you mentioned 1/2 cup urad dal for 1 cup of mint. Which one is correct?
