Ingredients:
Murmura-3 cups
Jaggery-1 cup
Ghee-2 tsp
Peanuts-1/4th cup(optional)
Elachi Powder-1/8th tsp
Water-1/2 cup
Preparations:
First dry roast the peanuts till it changes to light brown and keep it aside.
Place the wide pan and pour the ghee and add the puffed rice .
Roast till the rice coated well with ghee and nice aroma comes.
Now the puffed ricce gets crisp.
Method:
Place the wide pan and heat it and add water , jaggery.Let the jaggery melts for 5-10minutes. Cook on a medium heat until syrup begins to nice consistency.
Let it Boil for Five minutes and keep checking the consistency, by dropping a drop of syrup into a bowl of water. the syrup should not dissolve in water, instead it should sit firm on the bottom of the bowl and forms a ball.
Now the syrup is ready.
To this add the elachi powder and mix well and off the heat.
Soon add the Puffed rice and peanuts mix well.
Now the mixture is ready to make balls.
Apply water to palms and take some mixture in the hands and make it balls.(With the help of water the puffed rice forms balls).
Now the balls are ready.
We can store thos for 15 to 20 days.
