Bendakaya fry

Hai friends today i am coming with Bendakaya fry.Its simple and easy to prepare.I really love this curry.Its simple and easy to prepare.We can skip the onions on the festival days too.Adding the masala gives nice flavour to the curry.

Ingredients:

Bendakayalu/Okra/Bhindhi-2 lbs
Onion-1
Ginger chopped-1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies few
Salt to taste
Oil-1 tsp

Masala:

Besan-2 tsp
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Turmeric-little pinch
Chilli powder to taste

Preparations:

Clean well the bhindhi and drain the water and cut it into chunks.
Chop the onions and ginger and keep it aside.

Mix the masala ingredients in one cup and keep it aside.

Method:

Place the pan and heat it.
When it gets heat add the oil heat it.
To this add the mustard seeds,jeera and make it pop.
Add the dry red chillies,curry leaves,ginger and the onions,and onions.Mix it well.
Fry this till it turns to transparent.
Now add the cleaned bhindhi and salt mix well.
 
 
Cover this and cook for 5 minutes.
Now the bhindhi gets cooked.
Finally add the mixed masala and fry for 1 minute.
 
Serve it with hot rice.
