Hai friends today iam coming with Pulagam.This is rice recipe.This is very hot becausse we add the pepper to it.This we used to do on the featival days y bcos on that day we wont take onions and garlic that day we used to do this.If u want to add onions u can add to it.It tastes good.This we can eat directly or we can take with chutney or curry.But we specially made pulusu called Pacchi pulusu.Ok lets go to the recipe.
Ingredients:
Rice- 2 cups
Moong dal-1 cup
Ginger(chopped)-2 tsp
Green chillies-5 to 6
Urad dal-1 tsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Jeera-1 tsp
Dry rd chillies(few)-2 tsp
Oil-2 tsp
Curry leaves-2 stalks
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Water-2 1/2 cups.
Method:
First dry roast the moong dal until it changes to light brown colour.
When it changes to light brown colour then nice aroma will come.
Now keep it aside.
Now cook the rice.Take rice cooker bowl add the 2 cups rice and 1 cup roasted moong dal o it and clean well.Now add 2 1/2 cups of water sprinkle very litle salt and oil to it cook the rice.(By dding oil the rice wont stick to each other).
The rice will cooked in 20 minutes.Now we have to prepare actual process.
Place large pan and heat it.When it gets heat add the oil urad dal.
Fry until the urad dal changes the colour.
Now add the mustar seedds,jeera and the dry red chilli pieces.
When it gets pop then add the ginger ,green chillies and curry leaves to it. Mix it well.
Now add the pepper to it .
Fry it and add the salt and 3 tsp of water to dissolve the salt.
When the salt dissolves add the rice and mix well.
Serve hot with pulusu or chutney or curry.
