Tarugu Mamidi Avakaya

Hai friends how r u guys.I hope u all doing well.Last week i was bit busy in my daughter birthday party preparations so cant post any recipes.Now everything did well and i got some time.Here is the party photo
I prepared some cupcakes and arrange the fruit tray.Have a look


Ok lets go to the recipe.Today i am coming with the Tarugumamidi Avakaya.Its simple pickle to prepare and its very tasty.My Husband is big fan for this pickle .He love this pickle.When i prepare this pickle he really enjoys it mixing with plain rice or curd rice.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Mangoes-2
Chilli powder-1/3 cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder-little pinch
Fenugreek  powder-1/4th tsp
Mustard powder-1/3 rd cup
Sesame oil-1/2 cup

For Seasoning
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli pieces few
Hing little pinch

Preparations:
First wash the mangoes well with water and wipe with the dry cloth.
After that peel the skin and keep it aside.
Now grate the two mangoes and keep it aside.

Method:

Take the grated mango in the clean and dry vessel.
Add the turmeric,salt,mustard powder,chilli powder,fenugreek powder and 2 tsp of oil mix it well.
Now add the oil to the mixture and mix it well.
Cover this with lid and keep it aside for 3 days.(Twice a day mix it well with dry spoon).
After 3 days we have to season the mango mixture.
Place the small pan add the oil and heat it.When it gets heat add the mustard seeds.When the mustard seeds starts to pop add the jeera,dry red chillies and little hing for flavour.Cool this seasoning and later add to the mango mixture.
Now add the seasoning to the mango mixture mix it well.
Now transfer all the mixture to the clean and dry glass jar.
Serve this pickle with curd rice.
