Chicken Pakoda and Instant Onion Pickle

Hai friends today i am coming with one of tasty and famous dish chicken pakoda.This is one of street food in India.In the evening time all the people will come to the small shops on the road side and enjoy this food.In our house on special days we used to prepare this But now we r not preparing bocs my father should not eat this food so my mom wont prepare this.After many years last sunday i prepare this.My husband and all my friends love this recipe.For this we have to use corn flour but i did not get the corn flour so for alternate i add the rice flour and besan.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Chicken-1/2 lb
Egg-1
Besan-2 tsp
Rice flour-4 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 or 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
garam masala-1/2 tsp
chilli sauce-1/2 tsp
soya sauce-1/2 tsp
tomato sauce-1/4 tsp
turmeric little pinch
red food colour pinch(optional)
Oil for deep frying


Method:"

First take the chicken in the bowl and clean it well.
In another bowl add all the ingredients and whisk it well without the lumps. Dont add the oil.



Now add the chicken and mix it well.Keep this aside for 4 to 5 hours.

After 5 hours pour the oil in the frying pan and heat it.

When it gets heat add the chicken pieces into batches and fry until brown colour.



Now remove from the oil and serve hot with the Instant onion pickle.


INSTANT ONION PICKLE

Onion-1
Lemon-1
chilli powder-1/2 tsp
salt to taste


Method:
First cut the onions into chunks or strings..
Now soak this for 30 minutes in the sugar water to get sweet taste.

Now drain the water and add the chilli powder,salt and lemon juice.
Mix this well
Serve this with chicken pakoda.

    You have a lovely blog,I noticed that you used a traditional iron kadai for deep fry the chicken pakoda, which is a good thing.But dint your kadai dangle on the electric stove? How did u manage? Yours tips would be of great help.I too have a kadai but i am too afraid to use it on my electric stove as it keeps dancing.

  10. Hai Praveena I prefer iron kadai.For me its best for deep frying.Sometimes my kadai also dangle but i balance the kadai and be little carefull.We have to place the kadai at the centre so that it can help.But be carefull while deep frying.
