Ingredients:
Chicken-2 lb
Basmati rice –3 cups
onions(big)-2
chillies-6 to 7
coriander leaves-1 bunch
pudina-1 bunch
turmeric-1/2 tsp
elachi-8
cloves-10
cinnamon stick-3
star anise-2
bay leaves few
pepper powder 1/4 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
salt to taste
chilli -1 tsp
curd-1 cup
oil-4 tsp
lemon juice-3 tsp
butter-1 tsp
colours-red ,orange(we can use safforn)
Method:
First clean the chicken and keep it aside in the mean time we have to prepare for the marination.

For marination and chilli powder,salit,chilli powder,garam masala,tumeric,ginger garlic paste whole spices (half quantity remaining we will use to cook the rice)pudina and coriander few chopped,curd,lemon juice 1tsp,oil 2 tsp,pepper powder,slit the gereen chillies.
Mix everything and marinate for 2 hours.In the mean time we have to cook the rice
Take a deep pan add all the ramaining whole spices,salt and few chopped pudina and coriander leaves.(to basmati rice the ratio is for 3 cups rice add 3 cups water)
Add 3 cups of water and make it boil.
Add the rice to the boiling water and cook until the rice is half cooked.Now take the cooker pan and pour the oil and heat it.When it is heat add the marinate chicken and cook until it is half cooked.
when it is half cooked take half of the chicken and keep it aside.To this add the rice as the layer as shown in the picture.
Sprinkle the coriander and pudina on te rice.
Now add the chicken that we keep it aside.
To this again layer with rice and sprinkle the coriander and pudina leaves.Finally add the colours (Mix the colours separetly with water)
Now cover this pan with the aluminuim foil and cook this in low heat for 30 minutes.
Serve hot with the chicken curry ,egg curry and raita
