Tomato Chutney

Hai friends today i am coming with the tomato chutney.This is very simple and this stay s for 15 days.This we can take with the dosa and idly.We mostly take this chutney with the dosa and the punugulu.Now lets go to the recipe

Ingredients:


tomatoes-2 lbs
oil-2 tsp
mustard seeds-1 tsp
jeera-1 tsp
curry leaves-few
turmeric-pinch
salt to taste
chilli powder-1 1/2 tsp
hing-pinch
Method:

First wash the tomatoes and dry with the cloth.
cut the tomatoes like chunks.Now place the pan on the stove and pour the oil and heat it.
When it is heat add the tomatoes and turmeric cook it untill it tenders.
When it is half cooked add the salt and chilli powder.
Cook it again untill the tomatoes tenders and water evoparates.
Turn off the heat and cool it.Then grind this tomatoes.
Now in another small pan pour the oil for tadka.Heat it and add te mustard seeds when it starts spluter add the jeera ,curry leaves and the hing.Now add this to the tomato paste and serve it with dosa ,idly or rice.

  5. Looks lovely! Nice colour. Hot and spicy! I do make it the same way but instead of chilli powder, i grind dried red chillies with tomatoes into a paste and then cook.
