Drumstick leaves curry(Munankaya aaku kuura)

Hai friends today i am coming with the drumstick leaves curry.This leaf is very healthy.It tastes little bitter.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Drumstick leaves -2 cups

Green chillies-5 or 6

Grated Coconut-3 tsp

GArlic-5 pods

Ginger-1 tsp

Salt to taste

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Jeera-1/2 tsp

Dry red chilli pieces-few

urad dal-1/2 tsp

Chana Dal-1/2 tsp

Oil-1 tsp

Water very little




Method:

First we have to prepare the paste for that we have to blend ginger,garlic,coconut,green chillies add in the jar and make the paste.Keep this aside.





Now place the pan and heat it.When it gets heat add the oil to this add the garlic ,urad dal and chana dal and fry it.







Fry this until it changes to light brown colour now add the mustard seeds.when the mustard seeds starts splutter add the jeera,dry red chillies.


Now add the grinded paste and fry until the raw smell goes.



After that add the cleaned drumstick leaves to it and mix well.

Add 2 to 3 tsp of water and salt to it.Cover this with lid and cook this for 3 minutes.







When it gets cook remove the lid cook this in the low for another 3 minutes.


Now it evapouartes all the water and cooks well.



Take this in the serving bowl and serve this with hot rice.

    Btw, The Telugu name for Anchovy is 'Poravallu'.
