Bachamel(White Sauce)

Hai friends today i am coming with "Bachamel".This is called as White sauce.This is English breakfast sauce.Last month we went to Arkansas their we stayed in one hotel.The next morning we had breakfast there i had this white sauce with biscuit.I really love it .When i came to my home i used to search for this sauce in google.Finally i got the reciep and the name of the sauce.In this reciep we have to use onion and cloves but i did not use .This recipe also very tasty.Lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Maida(All purpose Flour)-1 1/2 tsp
Butter-1 tsp
Milk-1 1/2 cup
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Onion cut into half(the onion studded with the clove)(I did not use this)
CLoves-3(i did not use this)

Method:
First take the deep bottomed pan and heat it.
When it gets heat add the butter(dont make to turn dark)It should be heated in medium heat.
To this add the flour and mix well.
Now pour the milk slowly by mixing continously without forming any lumps and mix well.(At this point we have to use the onion studded with cloves)Add the pepper and mix well.
Cook this until it forms like cream(It should be thin cream not make it hard)

Switch off the heat and make it little cool.When it is luke warm add the salt.

Serve with the biscuit.(I use the store bought pillsbury biscuit prepare acc to the instructions).

Aloo Bonda

Hai friends today i am coming with one of the famous dish "Aloo Bonda".This is one of famous snack  in India.On a rainy evening this will taste heaven.When i used to go India my father brings this and i have fresh bondas.We all enjoy that.This my Husbands favourite snack.On Fathers day i prepared this for him.He really enjoyed this.This time i did not deep fry this.I fried this bondas in different version.I want to share with u guys.Ok lets go the recipe

Ingredients:

   For stuffing
--------------------
Aloo -2(big)
Salt to taste
Green chili pieces-1tsp
Ginger paste-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - finely chopped-1 tsp
Turmeric little pinch

  For Batter
--------------------
Besan-3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Chili Powder -Acc to ur taste
Baking soda-little pinch
Ajwain(Vaamu)-1/4 th tsp
Water- required to mix

Oil for frying

Method:

First clean the Potatoes and pressure cook this for 2 whistles.
Make it cool and peel the skin and mash it well with ur hands or masher.
To this mashed potatoes add the chilli pieces,salt,mustard seeds,jeera,ginger paste,currly leaves and turmeric mix well .
Take small amout of mixed paste and make lemon size ball and keep it aside.
Do all the mix like the lemon size balls.
Now we have to prepare the batter.Take another bowl and all the besan,chilli powder,salt,ajwain,baking soda and required amount of water .
The batter should be dosa batter consistency.
Place the Guntaponganalu pan and heat it.
When it gets heat  pour little oil in each cup .
Now take the aloo balls and dip in the batter and drop in each cup individually.
After 1 minute with the help of spoon or frk we have to turn the bonda to another side and cook for 1 more minute.
Do all the bondaas like that and take it out when it is cooked well.
Serve hot with Ketchup and onions.

Note:In this form it takes less oil.This is good for health.

Papaya Gelato(Papaya Drink)

Hai friends today i am coming with nice refreshing drink.Here in Texas its very hot .We can refresh by having this types of drinks.Gelato means ice cream.This recipe i saw in TV.I really like this juice and give a try.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Papaya pieces-2 cups
Sugar-Acc to ur taste
Water-2 cups
Ice cream-2 scoops(i use vanilla flavour)
Ice cubes few
Choclate syrup -2 tsp(For garnish and also its optional)

Method:

First take the blender add the papaya piecs,sugar,water and ice cubes and blend it very smoothly.
Now take the juice in the glass and add the scoop of ice cream and also chocate syrup.
Now garnish with the syrup and the straw.

My 150th post-Bobbattlu(Andhra Famous Sweet)

Hai friends today i am very happy to know that i reached to 150th post.First of all i have to thank my Husband ,Daughter and All my blogger friends those who give support and encourage me to reach 150 posts.I mostly thank to my mom who teached me traditional recipes and healthy tips.With the help of i got lot of traditional recipes.Today is special day so i am coming with traditional recipe called Bobbatlu.This i prepare last year.Everytime i am trying to post but cant post.Today i am posting my recipe.Ok lets go to the recipe.

Ingredients:

Moong dal-1 cup
Sugar-3/4 th cup
Maida-1 cup
Wheat flour-2 to 3 tsp
Oil-2 cups or more
Salt little pinch

Method:

1:How to cook the Dal:

Take deep bottomed pan and pour required amount of water to cook the moong dal.
When the water is boiling clean the moong dal and add to the boiling water.
Cook until the moong dal the dal forms split and the centre of the dal.
Thats the time to switch of the heat and drain the moong dal in the colander.(Dont throw away the water this we can use to prepare masala dal).
Leave the dal to rest and make it cool.

2:How to prepare Dough:

Take a mixing bowl to this add the maida,wheat flour,little sugar and little pinch salt whisk it well with whisker to mix all the dry ingredients.
Mix well with water to make dough.
The dough should not very hard it should be smooth.
Now fill the oil until the dough completely soak .Keep it rest for 30 to 40 minutes.

3:How to prepare the stuffing:

In the mean time we have prepare sugar syrup.
Take another deep bottomed pan add the sugar and 3 tsp of water and make sugar syrup.
When the syrup is formed now add the cooked moong dal and mix well.Now take out from heat and make it cool.
After sometime the sugar syrup and dal mixture gets cool.
Add all the mixture to blender and blend to a smooth paste.(Dont add the water).We have to make like balls.
Now make the balls and keep it aside.

4:How to prepare the trays for Bobbattlu:

In India we use banana leaves for trays.Here i am using Aluminium foil.
Take any plates and cut the foil to the required size and cover the plate completely with aluminuim foil as i shown in the pic.

Now every thing is ready.Its the time to prepare the Bobbattlu.
Take the tray and apply 1 tsp oil and take required amount of dough and do as i showm in the pic.
Now place the stuffing and cover the stuffing completely with the dough.
Now press the ball with ur four fingers from the centre like clockwise here the centre and edges should be thin as shown in the picture.
Do all the balls like that and keep it aside.Finally little oil will be left this can be reuse.
Now place the pan and heat it.
When it gets heat now slowly take the bobbattlu with the help of spatula as shown in the pic.
Fry this by applying little ghee.
Fry this on both sides.and transfer to the plate.
Do all like this.
Serve this in hot.
This is the best sweet in Andhra.
