Ingrdients:
Mina pappu(Urad dal) – 2 cups,
Onion(big)-1(chopped)
Ginger – Small piece,
Green chillies – 2-3 finely chopped (acc. to your taste),
Jeera(cumin seeds)-1-2 tsp
Coriander few leaves chopped
Salt to taste,
Oil for deep frying.
Method :
Soak the urad dal for 4-5 hours.
Clean them well and grind to paste by adding little water.
It should be a tight paste. Now add the salt and mix well.
Now take the paste in bowl to this add jeera, finely chopped green chillies,onions,ginger and coriander mix it well.
Take a deep frying vessel and add enough oil for deep frying.
Take some water in a bowl .
Now wet your hands with water and take a lemon sized ball and flatten it into like a vada make a hole in the centre of the vada.
Slowly drop it into the hot oil carefully and fry it on both sides on medium heat to a golden brown colour.
Take out from oil and place on the paper so that it removes excess oil.
Serve hot with the tomato chutney,coconut chutney ,chicken curry.
